Summerlin Again Among Top Five Master Planned Communities

Summerlin returned to the top five Master Planned Communities (MPCs) according to a report from real estate consultant firm RCLCO.

During the first six months of 2019, Summerlin saw the sale of 675 new homes, making it the number one MPC in Nevada and the only MPC outside of Florida to make the top five.

"Summerlin's elevated location which overlooks the Las Vegas valley and sits at the foot of Red Rock Canyon can't be beat when it comes to views and adjacency to the most stunning natural landmark in Southern Nevada," said Kevin T. Orrock, president, The Howard Hughes Corporation, the developer of Summerlin. "The active Summerlin lifestyle is another big draw and is created by more than 250 parks of all sizes, ten golf courses, 150-plus miles of trails, and of course, Downtown Summerlin, which now includes two major sports venues in addition to shopping, dining and entertainment – all minutes from home."

Summerlin is now the home of the Las Vegas Ballpark and the Las Vegas Aviators, a professional Triple-A baseball team. The team leads the league in AAA ball attendance.

Summerlin Again Among Top Five Master Planned Communities

New homes in Summerlin run the gamut from under 900 to over 5,000 square feet and with prices from the mid-$200,000s to over $1 million.

Summerlin is a perennial favorite top MPC list with seven years at number one from 1997 to 2003. The community has been near the top of the list 21 times.

Summerlin's strength is based on the diversity of its offerings. From wonderful starter homes to luxurious mansions, Summerlin has something for everyone.

"From Reverence on Summerlin's northernmost boundary to The Cliffs village on the south, Summerlin has never offered such a wide range of housing product as it does today," said Orrock. "This includes a growing number of active-adult neighborhoods, an increasing number of townhomes, condos and attached housing products, and even a growing number of for-rent apartments. The increasing diversity in home product is a direct reflection of changing consumer preferences for smaller footprints, reduced maintenance and homes that better accommodate a 'lock and leave' lifestyle."

Summerlin is the place to live for those who are looking for a gorgeous new home in community that is vibrant and offers something for every age and interest.
